Reiki's founder, Mikao Usui, received the Reiki system of healing while meditating on Mt. Kurama in 1922. These pages contain photos of the area where this event occurred and of his memorial. Many thanks to my first Reiki Master and friend, Nino, for taking these photos during a trip to Japan (1997).
